Uupdate. Laura's feeling better each day. Continues to wean off the heavier narcotic, and moving onto the light narcotic.
The good news: pathology report from the mastectomy came back. I've gotten it 3rd hand, but as I understand the report, no sign of cancerous cells in the breast tissue at all. I.e., the initial 3 doses of chemo were as effective as could be. Still makes sense to do the remaining 3 doses, though we're still planning to remove the one cardio-toxic drug from the mix.
Having Mar here is great! I'm able to go to work pretty freely. When I came home yesterday, they were sitting on her lap all watching The Waterhorse while Laura lay down upstairs.
And Mar saw a turtle crossing our driveway yesterday during dinnertime (we were sitting outside), which the boys certainly found entertaining! (Question: why did the turtle cross the road? Answer: to get away from my boys.) (Follow on question: why did the Caribou cross the road?....)
The weekend is supposed to be blazing hot, so tomorrow I'm the advance party out to the condo -- I'll work from there -- and the crew will follow immediately after Jack gets out of school. I figure at the beach itself we'll put up the big umbrella, and cover up Laura with a few layers of tin foil.

Thank you Mar for stepping up and helping them out... it is most appreciated... and you are one brave soul to drive the "Battleship" to the beach!
